Training

My philosophy:
Trainings are most effective in my experience where they are structured as an open learning process. Participants need to be as active in setting the learning topics/aims and in taking the responsibility for their own learning as possible. That means for me as a consultant that I structure a flexible training programme where topics and interests can emerge and be dealt with accordingly.

I have developed a wide range of training topics and input over the years which make it possible for me to deal with numerous aspects of leadership and cooperation in organisations. Therefore I am able to react flexibly and individually in tailoring training programmes on short notice rather than following a set module.

My standards:
Training is more than providing cognitive knowledge (e.g. theoretical input in the form of power point presentations).  For me training programmes are about developing specific skills and enlarging the range of leadership methods and behaviour. It is about trying new approaches and reviewing. It is about reflecting the working situation and putting new approaches, methods and skills into place so that a real benefit is achieved after the training which is measured.

This sort of learning process can be structured most effectively through learning from own experience. Therefore, regardless of the particular learning topic, I always build in active phases like group work, role plays, case studies, consulting sessions using specific work situations, individual reflection on specific topics, observation and feedback. I support this with theoretical, method-oriented and practical input which relates to the experiences participants have made before.

My expectations:
Learning can and should be enjoyable. Research proves that learning processes that are linked to positive experiences will produce long-term results in the sense that new behaviour is more easily adapted and therefore newly acquired skills will be used in the work place. Therefore I try to build a learning situation where participants can at all times in the programme clearly see the link to their personal interest/topic/benefit and thus experience the time invested as a privilege and not a chore.

I offer the following training topics in-house/in organisations:

Leadership competences
Leadership for female executives: What are the differences?
Leading with emotional intelligence
Leading one’s boss: Influencing decisions through process competence
Leading virtual teams/managing projects over distance
Leadership skill: Staying cool, calm and collected
Leading critical conversations
Intercultural cooperation
Coaching as a leadership tool
Self-Coaching: What do I want? What do I want to achieve?
Managing one’s own expectations and those of others

The first step would be to clarify training aims and topics. I can then provide a specific offer
